Apple’s upcoming event next Tuesday has got tongues wagging, as the company is expected to unveil its new flagships, and with the latest operating system iOS 11 set to power the next generation of its products.
While iOS 11 firmware leak has confirmed some nifty features that could stick, coming to iPhone users (may be limited to top-of-the-range iPhone model), which includes: 3D emoji characters for iMessage, called Animoji.
The Animoji uses facial tracking, coupled with the user’s voice to create expressive animated messages. Also, there is an animated poo-moji, which perhaps may not go rather too well, as it portends an offensive stereotype.
According to the leaks, there's a bunch of rather oldschool-styled wallpapers — and for which Apple could to be getting nearer to recreating the ZX Spectrum logo.
And new camera-related feature purportedly coming to the premium iPhone model, which is a Portrait Lighting mode for creating dSLR-like shots using depth by simulating lighting effects. With support for Contour Light, Natural Light, Stage Light, Stage Light Mono, and Studio Light, which suggests the mode enhancement could be related to the flash.
The firmware also includes further references to a new iPhone screen design, first revealed in the release of firmware for Apple’s forthcoming HomePod Siri speaker back in July.
Starting with iPhone 8, Apple is expected to switch from LCD displays to OLED and there's ample evidence the OLED iPhone will feature a True Tone Display for white balancing like the iPad Pro lineup. And it also reveals a new face unlock feature, which is codenamed Pearl ID.
